Dear you

Bliss

Whee we've got no school today(friday)!
That means I'm gonna have a loooooooooooooooooong weekend :)
Okay, it's just 4 days. But still.

The school could really use more of these "rewards for achievements". This is the first time out of 4 years in this school that we've got one. About time! So while the rest of you other-school-ers are in school, I'll be, uh, NOT in school :D A few of us will probably be out catching Transformers and going to places..

I'm still skeptical about watching Transformers.. I mean, I loved them as those little car toys back then, but.. A movie? Looks to me like we'll just be awe-ing over some small car or bicycle that somehow transforms into some huge, 10-tonned gundam-like robots? =/
Maybe it'll be cool..

Popcorn! PopcornPopcornPopcornPopcornPopcornPopcornPopcorn.
Sssaaaaalllted popcorn!

Oh wait, what about revision?

school's back

Well nothing much happened today.

Woke up late today, but I managed to rush to school in half an hour. But I was still 2 hours or so late :) Still having that holiday-lesson feeling I guess. Hehe, I gave the security guard at the gate a funny face. "I'm just as surprised as you are!" Like the music suddenly blitzed out or something like that. Funny how no one makes a fuss when I'm late, but some teachers would go berserk over long(relative word) hair or not staying in class when I don't take that particular subject. Just saying.

Spent a few good hours laying out and wiring some stuff for my project.
Soldering is a total pain in the ass.
Which is why you, fairuz, are gonna help me :)

Some people are really nice, while I don't know what some other people are.
Just something I concluded throughout the course of today.

IT'S TUESDAY TOMOROW! I love tuesdays!
I'm gonna cook tomorrow :) So what if it's a school day.

Found this old picture in my folder

Look- he's confused.

Seems like everyone is these days..

Love

Back from Brothers' Retreat!

These 3 days were really fun! The place where we stayed was super cool, very cozy. It's one of the better places we've stayed so far for bro's retreat- if not the best :D Sembawang park is a very peaceful and relaxing place.. Gotta go back again one day.. The messages were pretty straight-forward and practical. Definitely gave us something to think about and work on.

Tchouk(sp?)ball is.. Fun I guess? But also potentially fatal heheh. I can't imagine playing a full scale match.. The game we had on the last night was also super fun!! Like laserquest but with water pistols and candles haha. Hiding behind trees, sneaking around, chasing, being chased. But there were ants at certain trees and my shoes were practically soaked from running across the park. Sneaky war games rocks my socks! Must play again! Well, I gues this is what I'll be doing in 2 years or so.. But I can wait for that.

There's definitely much more that I would like to say,
but I can't really think properly right now due to the lack of sleep..

Big thanks to the comittee for organising this retreat (:

I can start raiding my own biscuit tin from now on..

day two

I spent practically the whole of today out at tampines today..

Don't really want to go into the details for today as it's getting late. Just carrying stuff, running some errands here and there.. A strange encounter with an old uncle working there.. Watching teams play captains ball at never-before-seen levels of intensity.. Yep. Soon day 2 of Teen Games captains ball was over just like that. Dinner at BK, then a long noisy bus ride/s back home..

Brothers' retreat from tomorrow to saturday, so no more night time gaming for awhile.. Hope it'll be a blast. I've done most of my packing already. Strange how the packing list didn't include underwear.. Oh man I still got songs to prepare!! Worst of all, I've got an owie bumbum :D

See you blogger in 3 days!

I guess we all have our share of problems these days.
And it's not about how big or hopeless our problems seem to be,
it's how we make the choices which heal and overcome that makes us who we are.
'Else we'd all be very sad people who will continue to stay sad forever.

Bounce, bounce, bounce

FINALLY went basketballing today, after weeks of unable-to-go-ing.

I can't believe I managed to cancel tuition for this :)
Coool. But just this once only!
Getting there was hard. According to the map, I should hit NYJC right at the back of the bus interchange! But when I got to the place, I could only see flats. So I walked, asked for directions, and walked.. Soon I was seeing familiar surroundings- that of my primary-school-to-home route. Really funny how it seemes so much shorter now. I thought I was lost, then I walked right into the "NYJC" sign and the main enterance :) I didn't know that there was actually a short-cut through the flats leading to the back gate.. Silly me.

Basketball was a killer. Or at least with many people at the start. I tell you, I'm not made for this kind of stuff. But later on it was more fun when we played 2 on 2. Ahh, less people; less confusion, less targets to chase after. At lest then I had a chance to play.. Still it was tiring, but definitely more fun- playing with people at my level. (did I just insult myself, or the other way round? ok-*at my pace*) No lahh, you all gave chance rightttttt :) Went back after dark all sweaty and exhausted. Got a ride back too :)

I guess I prefer playing sports in small, less competative teams :/
I hate to play games where everyone expects you to make the right moves, and have someone shouting at you to do so (no that it happens to me often). I don't like big competitions. I'd rather goof off with a group of friends and have fun :)

Right now my legs are tired and my toes hurt like hell and I can't even walk properly. Oooh, that hot burning sensation.. I feel it in my toes :D

Teen Games captain's ball again tomorrow! nights

Captain nothing

Went to help out at the Teen Games captain's ball today in the morning.

Met more YF'ers on the way there- what a small world. More like small bus services to tampines.. Didn't do much there though. Well at least I did something running about here and there. Too bad I had to leave in the afternoon when the games just commenced. Didn't feel like leaving though..

Met up with fairuz back at hougang, then went to sim lim tower together. Boy, being around so much electronic and electrical stuff boggles my mind! All those tiny little parts which I have no idea what they are- spreaded throughout the whole 4 storys. Hard to imagine that with the right knowledge, one can put these parts together to make something useful, or not. What, you might be wondering, was I doing at a hostile foreign place like that?
Let's just say I'm doing a little project..

I found an old treasure box filled with all my childhood toys in my room!

All, it brings back so many memories from the age where just toys would be enough to satisfy.. Strangely, I can remember where I got almost every one of them from, and how I played with them.. Marbles, action figures, yoyos, video games, lego bionicles, rubix cube, tricky putty.. Gunpowdered cap pistols that go *piak* with every pull of the trigger, air pistols, fully automated air rifle.. Many many more. Some from malaysia, some from australia, some from primary school, one from that illegal air-weapons shop in bedok (: There's even this little pink polly pocket electronic diary thnigy that didn't belong to me.. Hey, that was long ago.
I can recall how I played with these toys back then..
And then I think about how spastic we all were when we were small.

Why do I remember all this so clearly, yet I can't memorise a simple math equeation..

Anyway, I've got school tomorrow early in the morning!
Man, I don't wanna get up early again.. Oh well, off to bed!

Incoming

Today's another boring day.

Nothing much happened. I brought back one of the old guitars from chuch. It's still good, just needs a little cleaning up and a re-/string. It's looking alot better now thanks to some tlc. Still gotta buy a set of strings. I wonder what happened to my 2 e-strings I left in church... Only the wrappers are left- but the strings are nowhere to be found. It's gonna play great!
I just want my acoustic back anyway heh heh.

Somethings wrong with friendster. Or maybe its just my browser..
Can't seem to view stuff properly and can't save updates. Hmm.

I made some minor adjustments to my blog! But I doubt anyone will notice the differences :D I think it looks a little neater now. Oh, read the words at the bottom of your screen! -In case you don't already know about the surprise since long ago :)

Helping out in captain's ball tomorrow.
Alas- my nightmare of screwing up paperwork and records is coming true!

The coming week is gonna be packed.

On my own

Hello again dear blogger. Let me tell you about my day..

Left for JQ & Florence's wedding at 12+ today. I really dread having to go a place I've never been to before- especially when I gotta be there by a certain time. This time my destination was the amk methodist church. So a took a bus, intending to count the number of stops so I could stop at the 18th stop. I lost count at 5. So there I was sitting in the bus, not knowing where to stop. After awhile I had this hunch that I was reaching, so I checked the map I had snapped in my phone, and I was right (: So I managed to figure out where I was. Unfortunately, I think I alighted one stop too late, so with the help of some passer-by's I was soon on track. Then it started to rain, so there I was darting from under tree and flats.

Eventually, I reached the church well on time- but a little drenched though.
I think the best part about going to never-been-to-before places is the journey.
It's like- so excitaaaaangg! And so satisfying when you're able to not get lost.

The wedding was nice- to say the least :)

Went to J8 with the "wedding dinner rejects" to catch F4. Managed to stuff down a very hot ebi rice burger from Mos before that. It's kinda stupid how everytime I eat from Mos, I burn my tounge.. Maybe I should just stick to eating their frozen strawberries the next time.. The Silver Surfer is cool! Like, kawabunga! Funny how he looks so human. Now my mind wonders away to all the weird questions I can ask about being human yet made of silver.. :D

It's fun to be able to go wherever you want, and come home at any time..

One of my neighbour's dog just ran away, and they were chasing after it up the street. Then the dog got a beating after it was caught. So much commotion.
Poor pup.

It's been almost a week since my parents and sis left for holiday.
Kinda quiet around the house, except for the occasional guitar playing.
And I need a new pair of earphones! Got a particular one in mind already.
I hate hearing all that background noise I get with the normal apple ones.
I'll probably go hunting one of these days (:

So yeah.

There's still a week or so left before school starts again!
Too bad there aren't anymore fun activities officially sheduled..

Self Praise

Had to go to Millenium Walk BK for SL meeting today. But I totally had no idea where that was. Good thing there was streetdirectory.com and bren heh heh :D I noticed that roads tend to look much longer on maps than they do in real life. Hmm. So there I was relying on a map in my phone walking around city hall. Didn't know that I could go by some underpass thingy, so I was basically relying on buildings to get me there.

Anyway, I MADE IT! *proud smile*

Now, if you'd excuse me, I'd like to get in touch with my guitar right now.

We're packing our relationships

I suddenly have this strange that time is running out.

I feel as though before I can realise it, we'll all be old, and everything wouldn't seem so fun to do at all. We'd all stop caring, and no one will be bothered about each other. We'd all be obsessed with our grades and personal lives. Soon more studies and later, work will come. Then all we'd care about is what major test we have next, or how make ends meet or something like that.

Actually, I think it's already in the process. And it scares me, because I don't wanna become like this. I want to appreciate the simple things- even if it's just someone's company. I'd like to just get out there and go do something fun. I want to throw all my worries away; to just say "Hey, that can wait." -Even if it's just to do something totally meaningless.

Actually, I don't really know what I'm feeling now. Maybe it's the result of too many people leaving my 'sight'. Or maybe it's because I know that my O's are gonna come, and soon I'll be flooded with even more stuff to do. Actually, i think it's because there's only 2 weeks or holidays left. Whatever it is, I don't like it.
I don't like the rush of this "life".

I feel sappy
So I should go to sleep now

Amazing (G)race

Fwah.

I am totally drained today- or at least my legs. Frisbees are just plain cool, and playing at the Ultimate Frisbee station was fun :D The rest and I were supposed to play against 8 different teams. Were were already tired even before the first game started. Some warm-up.. And I hit 2 heads today- NOT during the game though. (sorrryyyy) By adding the "ultimate" before frisbee, the game simply just involves more running, twisting and panting. Almost got leg cramps on both legs when walking home.. Good thing there were leftover pizzas when I got back. (wait, how does that link?)

Soccer tomorrow-
I predict I'm so gonna die.

I don't wanna budge

Many people have been coming to view my house this few weeks. Why? To buy, sadly. Couples, families, intruding our privacy of our home at inconvenient hours.. Not cool, to say the least. "Hey there, I might buy your house! So move it!" I don't wanna move house- I like it here. This is the plot of land where I grew up in. But then I know it's something that can't be helped. I've been told we'll be moving only after my O's. Sigh. No more being able to walk to school, to church, to the mrt station. So unless the O's never come, I guess I'll be saying goodbye to good ol' house. But wait! There's still time.

My parents and my sister will be flying overseas for a holiday in about 7 hours or so.
I'll be on my own for a week! Sorta.. :D

This is Adam, my neighbour's cat. I surprised him :)

Free

So these few days have been rather cool. School hasn't been stressful (just boring), caught a movie, hanging out.. Went to the esplanade to get my guitar fixed yesterday, so I'm guitar-less. My fingers have been itching alot, hope it'll be ready soon.

Haven't been doing much today, sadly. Just realised that my math textbook is still in school, and I'll need it tomorrow. The thing is, our class doesn't have lesson tomorrow.. So I guess I'll have to go back tomorrow- just to get my book. Hopefully someone will open the classroom door for me, either that or I'll just use the tradditional removable-window-panes method.

So yup. That's another lazy update from me.
Only 3 weeks of "holidays" left- oh no! I'd better get started with revision.. Really.
I've got that go-out-and-hang-out feeling these few days; and thats good :)
